21 Jul 2006 The brand new ELDIM OPTIScope SA is an efficient solution for Monitor and LCD TV Response Time Evaluation. LCD technology is entering in a multi-application era where electro-optical parameters specifications are the keys to win the market. One of these parameters is display addressing format. LCD cell voltage format has rapidly improved to reduce response time. In the same time, measurement standards requirements became obsolete for some technologies (overdrive as example). In order to answer to display industry needs and offer a reliable solution, Eldim is launching the 3rd generation of temporal measurement system: OPTIScope. Through multiple tests and experiments, OPTIScope performances have been validated and confirmed to offer to display industry a reliable and safe solution for response time measurement.
OPTIScope has been designed to match existing measurement standards requirements (ISO/FDIS 13406:2, VESA FPDM 2.0, EIAJ ED-2522) and custom requirements.
A CMOS sensor has been added to allow user to watch and capture the area under measurement. PMT signal is sampled by a fully programmable on-board acquisition card. A front photopeak filter allows photometric measurement by the PMT after a proper calibration. Dark noise compensation is performed automatically for each acquisition. |
