The new device combines Moritex's Video endoscope technology with their PalmScope video capture and storage system to provide an easy-to-use tool for roadside spot checks of brakes, HGV regulation violations and accident inspections. Early adopters of the new video inspection and data capture device have reported that it is much more convenient to use and offers superior image quality and archiving capabilities to any other system on the market.
Offering a focus range from 40mm to infinity and flexible probe the new automotive video inspection and data capture device can be used to image even the smallest point of interest. A protective metal sleeve and inert industrial grade polymer inner sleeve provide the durability and waterproofing to ensure long operational lifetime. High-resolution CCD sensor coupled with the highest quality optics ensures distortion free high resolution viewing with true colour reproduction.
Incorporating proven PalmScope technology the new device is able to capture video clips onto a removable CompactFlash card. It is compatible with both PAL and NTSC, composite or S-video (optional) signals. A built-in transflective screen allows you to preview the video before saving it to the memory card. Video clips are captured at full NTSC or PAL resolution, at 30 or 25 frames per second (fps) respectively, and stored in Motion-JPEG (MJPEG) compressed format, allowing approximately 80 minutes of video to be stored on a 2GB CompactFlash card. Video clips are automatically named with the date and a sequence label.
