28 May 2009 a leading provider of fused fiber products, today announced the general availability of its newly developed fused polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber 1x3 and 3x3 Couplers. Comcore Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of fused fiber products, today announced the general availability of its newly developed fused PM fiber 1x3 and 3x3 Couplers for for fiber sensing applications. The 1x3 and 3x3 PM couplers allows 120 degree phase difference between the three coupling arms, which may significantly reduce the complexity in electronics design and signal processing.
Based on Comcore's proprietary fusion and packaging processes, these 1x3 and 3x3 PM couplers are believed to be the first ever commercially produced using fused fiber technologies in this industry. Together with Comcore's matured products such as 1x2 and 2x2 PM couplers, these PM couplers can be manufactured in volume, and are also available for both of 125um and 80um PM fibers. |
