THZ spectroscopy kit

12 Apr 2006

EKSPLA introduced Terahertz (THz) Spectroscopy Kit for ultrafast spectroscopy researchers who are interested in extending existing systems capabilities into THz frequency region.

The Kit includes emitter and detector of coherent THz radiation, pumping beam guiding and control optics, motorized optical delay line and chopper with controller, THz beam guiding mirrors, sample holder and lock-in amplifier. Supplied Labview™ based software allows computer controlled data acquisition and representation. The configuration of the Kit can be adapted to the individual customer requirements. Wide variety of mode-locked Ti:S lasers producing pulses with duration in 50-200 fs , output power in 250-500 mW range at 75-100 MHz pulse repetition rate can be used for THz emitter and detector pumping. The THz emitter and detector are based on photoconductive switch manufactured on Low-Temperature Grown GaAs substrate. THz emitter incorporates special Si-lens providing collimated THz radiation in the output. The average output from emitter exceeds 30 μW when pumped by 150 fs pulses of Ti:S laser with average power of 450 mW. The bandwidth of emitted pulse exceeds 700 GHz with usable spectral range of 0.2-3 THz. Applications are absorption or reflection spectroscopy , 2D imaging of biological objects, ultrafast pump-probe experiments. Requests for custom made products are welcome.
