The PCM2X-271 colorimeter uses two different types of amplifiers to achieve the best of both worlds. Highest sensitivity for ultra-low luminance levels and high-speed sampling rate for improved signal to noise ratio when performing flicker measurements. Not just for Y, but also for X and Z.

Thanks to the powerful onboard microcontroller, there are no limits to FFT-based flicker calculations
or time-based flicker measurements, for example for variable refresh rates.
