OSI Optoelectronics Introduces New Series of InGaAs Avalanche Photodiodes

04 February 2026 Photodiodes

HAWTHORNE, CA - OSI Optoelectronics announces the launch of the APX-NG000XAPD series, a new family of InGaAs Avalanche Photodiodes (APDs) designed for high-performance detection in the near-infrared range.

The APX-NG000XAPD series features:

  • Spectral response from 1000 to 1,700 nm, with peak sensitivity at 1550 nm
  • Multiple active area diameters: 0.2 mm, 0.4 mm, and 0.5 mm
  • High gain (up to 25), low noise, and fast response times with a typical bias voltage of 55V
  • Low dark current and low capacitance for optimal performance
  • Available in TO-46 metal can and SMT packages

These APDs are ideal for optical communication receivers, laser range finders, and low-light-level detection systems.

“We are proud to expand our photonics portfolio with the APX-NG000XAPD series, offering customers high responsivity and reliable performance for demanding applications," said Paul Morben, President of OSI Optoelectronics.
