The S16929-01 from Hamamatsu Photonics is a front-illuminated CCD linear image sensor designed for spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT). It features a 2048-pixel linear array, a maximum line rate of 130 kHz, and high sensitivity in the near infrared region. The sensor incorporates borosilicate glass with AR coating and supports high-speed multiport readout, with eight output ports and a maximum data rate of 40 MHz.

Additional specifications include a 10 μm × 180 μm pixel size, a 400 to 1100 nm spectral response range, and a typical image lag of 0.1%.
