Introducing Knight Optical's New Shear-Plate Collimation Testers

We're excited to announce the addition of Shear-Plate Collimation Testers to our growing catalogue of precision optical components. These new testers are designed to ensure accurate laser collimation within optical systems, a critical step in improving performance, imaging quality, and signal strength.

Used to create a lateral-shearing interference pattern, our Shear-Plate Collimation Testers are crafted with precision-engineered N-BK7 optical flats and optimised for use at 633nm. Each tester is housed in a sturdy anodised aluminium frame with a reference line for precise system alignment, ensuring ease of use in laser alignment, telescope, camera lens, microscope, and fibre optic alignment applications.
