SA Photonics Named one of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

Date Announced: 25 Aug 2011

SA Photonics Ranks 16th in Engineering on the 2011 Inc. 500|5000 with Three-Year Sales Growth of 257%.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Inc. magazine today ranked SA Photonics the 16th fastest growing engineering company in its fifth annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. SA Photonics also ranked number 1,154 overall in the top 5000 fastest growing companies. The Inc. list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. SA Photonics joins Spirit Airlines, television maker Vizio, LinkedIn, and Dunkin Donuts among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.

In a stagnant economic environment, SA Photonics was able to grow its revenue by an impressive 257% between 2007 and 2010 and triple the number of its employees. “Being able to create jobs and grow our company in the current economic climate is a real credit to our team and a validation of our business model and strategic customer partnerships,” said Jim Coward, SA Photonics’ President and CEO.

SA Photonics is a pioneer in the development and deployment of innovative photonics solutions for military and commercial applications. SA Photonics’ expertise includes optical communications, head-mounted displays and night vision, ruggedized photonics hardware, opto-mechanical design, and complex analog and digital engineering for space, marine, avionic and ground applications.

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/5000.
