Zygo Receives Order in Excess of $2 Million From Major Medical Device Company for High Precision Lens Assemblies

MIDDLEFIELD, CT--(Marketwire - 06/28/11) - Zygo Corporation (NASDAQ:ZIGO - News), a worldwide supplier of optical metrology instruments and high precision optical systems, today announced that its Optical Systems Division has been awarded a multi-million dollar order from a major medical device manufacturer to produce high precision objective lens assemblies used in ophthalmic laser surgery. The order is part of a new customer program, for which assemblies will be developed by Zygo's Electro-Optics group and manufactured in its Tucson, Arizona facility.
