Alfa Chemistry Materials Launches High Quality Perovskite Materials for Optoelectronic and Photovoltaic Research

Date Announced: 06 Feb 2024

In a recent statement, Alfa Chemistry Materials announces to have launched a comprehensive line of high quality perovskite materials, which emerged as the most promising and efficient low-cost energy materials in various optoelectronic and photovoltaic researches and are currently in urgent demand.

Ever since the Russian scientist Gustav Rose found perovskite, a mineral composed of calcium titanium oxide (CaTiO2), in 1839, the number of research focused on perovskite material is on the rise. Many of its potentials have been extensively studied for various applications.

Perovskite materials exhibit intriguing and unusual physical properties and thus become ideal choices to be used in sensors and catalyst electrodes, certain types of fuel cells, solar cells, lasers, memory devices and spintronics applications.

“It is no exaggeration to say that the introduction of perovskite materials innovates various fields of optoelectronics, including photovoltaic solar cells, photodetectors, light-emitting devices, and many more,” says one of the senior scientists from Alfa Chemistry Materials. “Perovskites can be obtained from a wide range of materials and can be prepared with different methods, including the traditional high-temperature solid state method, sol-gel method, hydrothermal synthesis method, high energy ball milling method and precipitation method. Besides, other methods like vapor deposition method, supercritical drying method, microemulsion method and self-propagating high-temperature combustion synthesis method could also be used.”

Perovskite materials available at Alfa Chemistry:

To name just a few here: hydriodic acid (cas 10034-85-2), propane-1,3-diammonium iodide (cas 120675-53-8), titanium(iv) oxide, anatase (cas 1317-70-0), n-propylammonium iodide (cas 14488-45-0), formamidinium bromide (cas 146958-06-7), methylammonium iodide (cas 14965-49-2), n-butylammonium bromide (cas 15567-09-6), titanium diisopropoxide bis(acetylacetonate) (cas 17927-72-9), propane-1,3-diammonium bromide (cas 18773-03-0), ethane-1,2-diammonium bromide (cas 624-59-9), lead(ii) chloride (cas 7758-95-4), etc.
