Photonics experts and strategic stakeholders to debate Horizon Europe Photonics Partnership priorities / Critical value chains in focus.
Düsseldorf, Germany -- The Photonics Partnership is inviting experts from industry, research organisations and politics to discuss and shape the future of photonics in Europe at the Radisson Collection Hotel in Brussels on 26 and 27 April, 2023.
This year´s meeting is focused on critical value chains for Europe´s strategic autonomy. The event will begin with Lutz Aschke (Photonics21 President and Managing Director of the Mahr Group) handing over the new Photonics21 Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda to the European Commission.

Awards ceremony
The event will further present the winner of the Photonics21 Innovation Award 2023 with a prize money of €5,000 honouring his or her excellent idea for a photonics product that can transform into a real business or product. The first day will end with a nice networking dinner.
The second day of the Photonics Partnership Annual Meeting will focus on photonics call topics and key EU strategic initiatives. The Photonics Partnership priority setting process for the Horizon Europe work program 2025-2027 will take part across seven thematic workshops, with experts debating the research and innovation priorities and democratically deciding on the future research and innovation priorities.
The two-day meeting will close by drawing conclusions and defining the next steps. The Photonics Partnership kindly invites experts from research, politics and industry to join the most well-attended and successful meeting in European photonics.
