Messe Stuttgart ‘doing everything we can’ to ensure that in-person VISION 2021 will be a success

Date Announced: 15 Jul 2021

Stuttgart expo is already expecting 250 national and international industry players.

Stuttgart, Germany -- Preparations for the return of VISION as a physical trade fair are gathering speed, according to organizer Messe Stuttgart. After VISION, the trade fair for the machine vision industry, could not be held in 2020 due to the pandemic, preparations for this year’s event, scheduled for 5 to 7 October 2021, are now gathering speed.

“Now that we have a planning basis with the latest Baden-Württemberg Corona Ordinance dated 28 June, we are doing everything to ensure that 2021 will be a successful VISION year,” commented Florian Niethammer, Project Manager for VISION at Messe Stuttgart.

He added that support and anticipation in the industry are unwavering: “In spite of the dynamic pandemic situation and the realistic expectation among everyone involved, we are sensing enormous anticipation and the great desire that the machine vision industry and its customers can finally meet each other again in person in Stuttgart,” he said.

Innovations, new products and trends

The focal point of this year's accompanying programme will be the Industrial VISION Days, the world's largest forum for machine vision. Innovations and new products from the machine vision industry are traditionally presented here and current trends are discussed. The VISION Award will also be presented for the first time on the large stage.

This renowned Award is presented by a first-class jury during VISION for the best innovation in the field of machine vision. Visitors can also look forward to exciting pavilions: for example, system integrators and solution providers will present their specific products and services for many different application industries in the Integration Area.

Suppliers of industrial PCs will present their company under the title IPC 4 VISION. In addition to the sponsored joint stand of the German Federal Ministry of Economics (BMWi) for young innovative companies from Germany, start-ups from all over Europe will show their ideas and innovations in the newly created VISION Start-up World.

VISION Exhibitor Directory

The event’s associated Exhibitor Directory now contains around 250 national and international industry players who have registered their own exhibition stand. Co-exhibitors from different joint stands and the start-ups taking part in the première of the VISION Start-up World must also be added.

Niethammer and his team expect that VISION will focus more on Europe this year due to the still existing travel restrictions and quarantine regulations.

Interested parties who cannot travel to Stuttgart this year will find all the trade fair exhibitors in the Online Exhibitor Directory. Messe Stuttgart is also transmitting the Industrial VISION Days live and on demand for the first time. The concurrent trade fairs Motek and parts2clean are also new. Participants in both guest events will have the opportunity to visit VISION free of charge and obtain information on the topic of machine vision.
