The International Day of Light Secretariat is delighted to share a variety of new resources and materials that are now available to the IDL community and partners. In particular, new materials have been released as part of the #SEETHELIGHT campaign, which was established for the 2020 International Day of Light - May 16th - as a worldwide message encouraging all to join the conversation and celebrate the importance of the science of light and light-based technologies in our lives. We encourage you to share these resources throughout your networks and community to help maximize the impact of the global celebrations around May 16th.

We welcome you to enjoy and share the new 2020 International Day of Light #SEETHELIGHT Video, created by the Optical Society (OSA), SPIE and the IEEE Photonics Society with support from the IDL Steering Committee. This video message addresses how light science and technology can provide efficient solutions to current global challenges.

We also welcome you to use the new new visuals that have been developed for use on social media (remember to tag the IDL channels and to use #IDL2020 and #SEETHELIGHT). This include special animations that have been developed for each of the above four articles and a variety of IDL logo animations have been created for you to use when promoting your activities around the International Day of Light. Furthermore, a new IDL2020 Fact Sheet and IDL2020 Official Statement have been published.
