Brussels, Belgium – The FTTH Council Europe announces that Erzsébet Fitori, its Director General (pictured, right), will be leaving the FTTH Council Europe in order to explore the next chapter in her career, effective from 31 May 2020.
“We wish Erzsébet all the best with her new endeavours. We are saddened to see her leave but are grateful for her tireless efforts to transform the Council into a financially solid, growing, influential and widely recognised organisation that unites the entire fibre value chain” said Kees De Waard, President of the FTTH Council Europe.
“Erzsébet has built a very strong and competent senior management team, who will be instrumental to a smooth transition. With such a committed and capable team and Board as well as the solid and favourable state of our affairs I am confident that we will continue to work effectively in our members’ best interest and deliver another great FTTH Conference 1-3 December in Berlin” he added.
Whilst Erzsébet Fitori will continue in her role as Director General until 31 May 2020 we have already started working on a transition and succession plan and set up a Special Committee in order to manage the transition process.
Until the end of May together with our very competent and committed team, Erzsébet Fitori will focus on leading preparations for the FTTH Conference Berlin, preparing the transition as well as continue to ensure the Council’s operation to the benefit of our members.
