Date Announced: 02 Jan 2020
Dresden, Germany -- Heliatek and Etihad Energy Service (ESCO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding during WETEX Solar show in Dubai in late October 2019. Within this strategic partnership agreement, both companies have agreed amongst other things to realize a number of high-visibility projects in Dubai and the U.A.E. to drive awareness and open the market for Heliatek’s green energy solution.
The first pilot project in that region will be a 40 films, 1kWp rooftop installation on the Al Jalila Cultural Center for Children. The center is a place that “aims to enrich cultural lives of children, to create surroundings, and to embrace their creativity and future aspirations, to prepare them to welcome their future”.
The pilot is expected to be installed in early 2020 and will be a milestone for both companies to bring Heliatek’s innovative solar solution to the Middle East. “We are delighted to work with Etihad Energy Service as our strong partner in the U.A.E. This pilot will be our first installation in the hot and humid climate of Dubai. We are excited to gather real life performance data under these challenging conditions”, says Guido van Tartwijk, CEO of Heliatek.
