Revenues up nearly 50% year-on-year.
Specialist manufacturer of solutions for light measurement Instrument Systems GmbH has closed the business year 2009/2010 with the best results since the company was founded in 1986. Revenues rose by 47.1% to 10.3 million euros - after 7.0 million euros in 2008/2009. This means that Instrument Systems has undergone aboveaverage growth in the wake of the past financial crisis and has continued to expand market leadership in LED measurement.
The company has a long track record of defining global benchmarks and supplies turnkey solutions for fast testing in production settings. Virtually all the major companies in the automotive and aviation industries use equipment from Instrument Systems when testing lighting components and displays in the vehicle interior or cockpit.
Technology from Instrument Systems is a hallmark for accuracy and quality. All instruments are developed and manufactured in Munich. The company generates 82% of its sales in foreign markets.
"We are proud of this record result and the outstanding work carried out by our employees", comments company founder and president Richard Distl. He added that the key driver for the enormous growth was the sustained boom in the LED industry which was due in particular to LED backlight units in LCD TV sets and the increasing use of LED technology in general illumination. Distl also expected the other markets served by Instrument Systems to outperform average increases. "We want to continue our growth trajectory in the current business year and are planning to double sales to approximately 20 million euros. We are dedicated to living up to the trust customers place in our work."
