Date Announced: 28 Jun 2017
Knight Optical now offers an optical flat reconditioning and certification service to repair optical flats that have become cloudy or otherwise damaged through normal use.
In most cases reconditioning the part is more cost effective than replacing it and reconditioning work can typically be untaken with short notice. It is generally not cost effective to recondition flats smaller than 100mm diameter and in most cases we will be able to replace the flat fully at an equivalent cost.
See below for a list of prices for reconditioning our stock range of optical flats, both Quartz and Zerodur types.
Our prices are based on typical reconditioning work and are subject to change based on the condition of the optical flat. Once we have received your part for inspection we will provide you with a full written quotation before we proceed with any work. We also offer on request high quality optical flat boxes at competitive prices designed to store your product safely and securely both in the laboratory and elsewhere.
Where flats have been excessively damaged and are unsuitable for reconditioning we will contact you and endeavour to find an effective solution to suit your application.
