Knight Optical can offer Custom Homogenizing Rods for use within Fluorescence Imaging.
We are pleased announce our increased capabilities in the supply of Homogenizing Rods for many industries including Fluorescence Imaging, electrical instruments, IPL, lithography and the entertainment industry. They are used within the application of surgical procedures; within systems designed to help identify which tissues have been exposed to the fluorescent indicator.
Our ranges of homogenising light pipe rods are available as hexagonal and tapered types. These rods achieve homogenized illumination output of non-uniform light sources though total internal reflection.
Materials that we offer both hexagonal and tapered light pipes in are BK7 or equivalent for visible applications and UV grade fused silica that works efficiently down to 175nm ideal for UV LED illumination. Other materials can be used to meet your specific wavelength requirements.
All homogenizing light pipe rods are tested on our Trioptics Prism Master capable of accuracy to 3 arc seconds.

All our Homogenizing Rods are fully inspected on their quality in our ISO 9001 certified, state-of-the-art Metrology laboratory, using our Trioptic’s PrismMaster, and Starrett AV300 Video Imaging System. This allows us to work to the highest QA standards and meet the tolerance specifications on these precision components.
