Siskiyou Corporation has introduced its “one wrench” concept to several of their optical mounts and adjustment mechanisms, including kinematic and gimbal mounts, translation stages, and laser diode holders/positioners.
Specifically, this means that all the adjustment, mounting and locking screws on the mount are operated using the same size (5/64" or 2.0 mm) hex wrench. This enables the user to mount and align even complex optomechanical systems using literally a single wrench, thus enhancing convenience and ease-of-use.
