Teledyne e2v wins Gold and Bronze at Vision Systems Design 2017 Innovators Awards

Date Announced: 04 Apr 2017

Teledyne e2v, the global innovator of imaging solutions, has won two Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards. Teledyne e2v was presented with a Gold Award for its NBASE-T line scan cameras and a Bronze Award in recognition of its Emerald Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor family.

The entries were judged on originality and innovation, along with their positive impact on designers, systems integrators and end users. Judging criteria also included whether the product fulfils a need in the market that is not already addressed and whether it leverages a novel technology.

Teledyne e2v’s NBASE-T line scan cameras and Emerald CMOS image sensor family were chosen by a panel of systems integrators, consultants and academics with years of experience in specifying, designing and configuring image processing and machine vision systems.

The NBASE-T line scan camera range provides customers with a frame grabber-less interface, allowing them to transmit uncompressed, high bandwidth images from cameras into systems at the highest possible speed in a cost efficient manner.

Teledyne e2v’s Emerald CMOS image sensor family features the world’s smallest true global shutter and significantly improves Dark Signal Non Uniformity (DSNU) by a factor of ten when compared to other CMOS products.

Sebastien Teysseyre, Head of Marketing for Professional Imaging at Teledyne e2v, said, “We are thrilled to win two Innovators Awards because innovation is at the heart of everything that we do. Our expertise and unique approach enables us to fulfil the current needs of our customers and help them to prepare for the challenges of tomorrow. The awards acknowledge the work that went into developing these innovative new products and we are honoured to be recognised.”

Alan Bergstein, publisher of Vision Systems Design, said, "This prestigious programme allows Vision Systems Design to celebrate and recognise the most innovative products and services in the vision and image processing industry. Our 2017 honourees are an outstanding example of companies who are making an impact in the industry."
