Focus on microscopy and individual light solutions
In December 2016 Leistungselektronik JENA GmbH (LEJ) looks back on 25 years of company history: 25 years of change and durability, 25 years more than light. This event is used to briefly highlight the current development as a provider of sophisticated industrial lighting & power solutions and to portray the future path.
Founded in 1991 the company originated from the Research Center of Carl-Zeiss Jena GmbH and soon established itself as a supplier and manufacturer of innovative lighting solutions for industry and research. Whether micro-optics, microscopy, endoscopy, industrial image processing, analytical technology, projection, UV disinfection, light curing, environmental or solar simulation, the team uses high level cross-sectoral application knowledge to develop specific & industrial grade solutions together with the customer.
The foundation of LEJ is firmly established on three pillars, which will be pushed forward in the future - brand products, customized solutions and OEM systems. LEJ will continue to develop its own products, as light sources for microscopy as well as modules for professional lighting solutions for use in medical technology, analytics and industry. With regards to special customer or application requirements these standard products can be adapted in many ways. LEJ impresses by a high degree of flexibility as well as by an excellent implementation competence, enabling rapid time-to-market.
"One size fits all" solutions are becoming obsolete: "Each of our customers speaks a different language, every language is like an open window into a new industry, into new application fields, giving us an outlook on new technical worlds. Our strength lies in the fact that we speak the language of our customer and work together with him to develop new solution concepts, from device development and production to services for the products. Each customer is different and would like to be treated individually. This is what we will be focusing on in the future.", Managing Director Wolfgang Ketscher states. Accordingly, the third pillar, the OEM business, will continue to be firmly anchored in LEJ's business model.
Addressing and optimizing the customer's needs represent the core business for future application fields of known and new markets of the Leistungselektronik JENA GmbH. The new leadership generation, which now replace the founders, has been committed to this task.
