MarqMetrix makes strategic move to new office and laboratory

Date Announced: 16 Nov 2016

Seattle, Wash.—November 16, 2016—Today, MarqMetrix makes a move to a new office and laboratory, a decision Company Officials say will match the facility with the growth goals of the organization and allow them to attract and retain top quality talent.

“We continue to advance our TouchRamanTM technology making it more accessible and easier to use than traditional Raman devices,” said Brian Marquardt, CEO of MarqMetrix. “As we continue to develop our technology, we realized the need for more office space and a state-of-the-art laboratory.”

The new offices are located at 2157 N Northlake Way, Suite 240, Seattle, Wash. in the Emerald Landing Building. Not only do the offices offer MarqMetrix expanded space, but the building is located on the north shore of Lake Union adjacent to Gas Works Park and the Burke Gilman Trail. Employees will be able to grab a paddle board, hit the trail for a run or simply have lunch in the park—right from their office door. The new location offers employees lockers, an on-site shower facility, bike storage and a rooftop deck with WiFi.

“MarqMetrix is creating a work culture embraces the active lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest,” said Marquardt. “We want a work environment that attracts top talent and promotes a healthy, balanced lifestyle.”

Emerald Landing is a newer building with LEED Platinum certification. The building aesthetic features glazed, brick, precast and metal panel systems with a variety of recycled building products and a living green roof.

“As a science based company, energy efficiency and environmental considerations were important in this process,” said Marquardt.

MarqMetrix® is best known for the development of the TouchRamanTM immersion BallProbe®. With this device, users have a sampling interface for Raman spectroscopy that is effective for measuring many different sample types including solids, slurries, powders, liquids, and gases. A stable and reproducible sample interface facilitated the application of Raman in a variety of process applications from pharma to food to the deep ocean at high temperatures and pressures.
