Fibercore announces Dr Rogerio Ramos as Chief Technology Officer

Southampton, UK -- Fibercore, the UK-based global market leader in the development and manufacture of specialty optical fiber announces Dr Rogerio Ramos as its new Chief Technology Officer.

Rogerio joins Fibercore with extensive experience within the photonics industry gained via his MSc and PhD research in lasers and optical fiber sensors and senior posts within Schlumberger and Coventry University spanning more than 25 years. A career that has generated more than 50 granted patents in optical fiber related fields together with numerous conference papers and publications.

Fibercore says Dr Ramos is widely acknowledged as an international expert in the field of optical fiber sensors in oil and gas and throughout his career his work has been recognized by a host of prizes.

Chris Emslie, Fibercore’s CEO, commented, "Rogerio joins the Fibercore team at an exciting point in the company’s development and brings with him impressive technical knowledge and a portfolio of patents and papers, spanning some 25 plus years.
