StellarNet Releases Integrating Spheres

Date Announced: 05 Nov 2010

StellarNet proudly introduces StellarSpheres, a new line of spectroradiometrically calibrated integrating spheres designed specifically for the low cost light measurement market.

All StellarNet integrating spheres are spectroradiometrically calibrated using NIST traceable lamps. Measurements include absolute intensity in Watts/m2, Lumens/m2, Radiant/Luminous Flux, Correlated Color Temperature (CCT), xy chromaticity, Color Rendering Index (CRI), dominant wavelength, and more across the 300-1700nm wavelength range.

The StellarSphere-IS6 is a 6” diameter integrating sphere with a 2.0” input port, internal reflective coating, baffle system, and SMA fiber optic output. This low cost sphere is available for $1745.

For internal device mounting, the StellarSphere-IS12, a 12” diameter integrating sphere, features a vertical hinge that opens to allow access to the sample stage. The sample stage is equipped with powered device mounting sockets with a variety of detachable socket options. In addition, the StellarSphere-IS12 includes a tungsten halogen lamp and data file for system calibration using the SpectraWiz® radiometer application software.

Due to the rapid growth of the LED industry, there is a need now more than ever for low cost light measurement equipment. Currently, the only commercially available systems are expensive, bulky, and complex to operate. Thus LED characterization and analysis has been limited mostly to high end R&D. StellarNet, a leading manufacturer of low cost spectrometer equipment worldwide since 1993, has finally responded to this increase in demand. The new lines of StellarNet StellarSphere systems, are lightweight, moduler, easy to use, and will surely fit your budget!
