New York firm's kit to be used to make wearable mobile devices for "major concumer electronics company".
Ronkonkoma, NY, July 23, 2015: PHOTONICS INDUSTRIES INTERNATIONAL Inc.,(PI), The Pioneer of Intracavity Harmonic Lasers, recently completed shipment of the largest single order of its picosecond lasers in its history. The low middle 8 figure order was for our RGH Series of picosecond (ps) lasers, which are used in the machines that fabricate wearable mobile devices for a major consumer electronics company. PI was selected for the:
high pulse energy
manufacturing capacity
total pulse control
that we are able to achieve from our small form factor picosecond laser. To meet the peak demand of our customer, PI's flexible manufacturing platform was able to scale production volumes to over 20 picosecond lasers per week.
Photonics Industries is a global leader in the development and manufacture of both nanosecond (ns) and picosecond (ps) diode pumped solid state lasers, which are required for production of flat panel displays and mobile devices. PI recently moved into its new 67,500 ft2 headquarters facility -- over 3 times the size of its previous headquarter facility. PI's headquarters is located on Long Island in New York with branch offices in Japan, Taiwan, Korea and China.
