Xenics Strengthening Marketing and Sales for Future Growth

Herve Copin also becomes CEO of the IR detector maker's US division.

Leuven, Belgium / Boston, Massachusetts, 21 April 2015 --- Xenics, Europe's leading developer and manufacturer of advanced infrared detectors, cameras and customized imaging solutions from the LWIR to the visible realm, is broadening its international marketing and sales position, increasing its management staff and placing a stronger focus on North and Latin America.

Hervé Copin was appointed CEO of Xenics USA, Inc., in Boston, MA. Francky Demeester (pictured right) will take over as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Worldwide at Xenics headquarters in Leuven, Belgium. At SPIE DSS 2015 Xenics exhibits in Booth 825.


Hervé Copin Appointed CEO of Xenics USA, Inc.
To strengthen its international sales and marketing force Xenics is expanding and repositioning its corporate setup on a worldwide scale. Hervé Copin has been appointed CEO of Xenics USA, Inc., after serving for more than two years with great success as European Sales Manager and substantially increasing the reach of Xenics' distribution network across Western and Eastern Europe.

Hervé Copin now is in charge of further broadening Xenics' competitive positions throughout North and Latin America, extending the sales channels in both areas.

Hervé Copin holds a masters degree in physics from the Catholic University of Louvain, focusing on solid material science and electromagnetic l optics, and a masters degree in Economics from the University of Namur. He has worked as Product Manager specialized in optical components, spectral measurement and colorimetry for a European-based laboratory equipment supplier.

From 1997 to 2005 he was Sales Manager in charge of material testing equipment at Buehler Ltd. in
Illinois, USA. Before joining Xenics in 2011, he served as Vice President of Sales for the Belgian frame grabber vendor Euresys.

Myriam Gillisjans Marketing Manager North and Latin America at Xenics USA

Additionally, Myriam Gillisjans, up to now Xenics Marketing Manager in Leuven, Belgium, will relocate to Xenics USA in Boston as Marketing Manager for North and Latin America. In her new position she will be in direct proximity to Xenics' growing customer base in the Americas, as an indication that Xenics is committing substantial resources in a major shift of its marketing activities from Europe to the U.S.


Francky Demeester Joins Xenics as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Worldwide
Francky Demeester is the new Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Worldwide, operating out of Xenics headquarters in Leuven, Belgium. In this new position, Demeester will strategically guide the Xenics sales force in various world regions to realize the next level of future growth for Xenics. Demeester comes to Xenics from a major international
player in the imaging industry, where he was Senior Vice President of Sales.

During his distinguished career track he has acquired a premier know-how and professional background in organizing and supervising high-tech sales activities worldwide.

"I'm looking forward to further develop the growth potential of this highly innovative European company.
