New >8 W regen and >16 W power amplifiers pumped with new Ascend high power lasers.
Santa Clara, CA – March 16, 2015 – Spectra-Physics® introduces the industry’s highest power ultrafast regen amplifiers and a new line of high power kilohertz DPSS green pump lasers. Pumped with the new Ascend™ lasers, the new Spitfire® Ace™ ultrafast amplifiers feature >8 W in regen-only and >16 W in power amplifier (PA) configurations. The new Ascend pump lasers deliver up to >60 W power with excellent beam profile for maximum efficiency. These new ultrafast laser systems are ideal for advanced research applications including multidimensional and time-resolved spectroscopy.

The new Spitfire Ace ultrafast regen amplifiers deliver an industry-leading >8 W output power at 5 kHz and >7 W at 1 and 10 kHz repetition rates with 16 W. With Spectra-Physics’ patented Ace cavity, the new ultrafast amplifiers provide superior beam quality even at the highest energy configurations.
When pumping Spectra-Physics amplifiers, Ascend delivers optimal green-to-IR conversion due to the excellent beam quality, resulting in maximum efficiency, low noise, and unmatched reliability. The new pump lasers offer flexible performance with repetition rates across 1 to 10 kHz range and are available with several output power levels for specific amplifier system configurations. Ascend has passed extensive environmental qualification testing, and each laser is subjected to demanding production tests to ensure long, stable operating life.
