Applied Optics, Inc. Expands Test Plate Catalog Providing Designers and Engineers Increased Product Development Options

PLEASANT HILL, CA, January 1, 2015 — Applied Optics, Inc. (AOI) manufacturers of high quality precision optics and assemblies has expanded their test plate catalog with over 1,700 test plates in inventory ranging from 2.5mm to 220,000mm. The expanded offering provides designers and engineers with increased design options when they develop and concept prototypes for manufacturing. This result is shorter development time and greater speed to market with on-going consistency throughout its product lifespan.

"By partnering closely with our customers for more than 35 years, we have developed an extensive test plate catalog. Currently we have more than 1,700 test plates in our inventory. This is a huge benefit for our design and engineer customers who are seeking to increase development efficiencies and speed to market." said Gery Koch, AOI President. "Of course, if something specified is not in our catalog, we have the expertise and capability to quickly and expertly meet our customers needs. We like to think of ourselves as problem solvers. AOI will be exhibiting at the upcoming SPIE Photonics West 2015 tradeshow, the #1 laser, photonics, biomedical optics conference: with over 20,000 attendees, two exhibitions, and 1,250 exhibiting companies. “I’ll personally be on hand, along with our VP David Hill, to answer questions and help potential customers evaluate how AOI can partner with them to satisfy their optical needs. Having our presence at the show is very important for us. We want our potential customers to be able to speak with the people who will be doing the actual work and not just an order taker,” said Koch.
