Haas Laser Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Beam Waist Analyzer Monitor (BWA-MON) has been named a finalist for the 2014 Prism Awards in the category of Advanced Manufacturing.
The Beam Waist Analyzer Monitor (BWA-MON) and software enables true “real-time” laser beam measurement, analysis and monitoring of low to very high power CW and pulsed lasers. “In every laser application, the laser beam profile provides valuable information for the most efficient use of the laser.” Said Michael Scaggs, Senior Optical Design Engineer at Haas. The design contains no “moving components” and provides instantaneous measurement and analysis of the laser beam’s spatial profile, circularity, centroid, astigmatism and M-squared values. Monitoring the laser and entire beam delivery optical system leads to increased quality, process reliability, and reduced scrap. The BWA-MON is a stand-alone product as well as a component of The Haas Laser Beam Analyzer System.
Haas Laser Technologies will be in attendance of the 2014 Prism Awards gala in February at Photonics West. This is the second time Haas has been named a finalist for a Prism Award within the past two years.
