Daylight Solutions Announces Licensing of Mid-infrared Technology to Corning, Inc.

Jun 05, 2013 - San Diego, CA (June 5, 2013) – Daylight Solutions, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a license agreement with industry leader Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) for access to Daylight’s patented mid-infrared technology.

As the world leader in quantum cascade laser (QCL) based sources and systems, Daylight Solutions holds 19 fundamental patents with an additional 27 patents pending.

“The licensing of our technology by Corning illustrates the significance of Daylight’s patent and IP position in the mid-infrared solution space,” says Daylight President and COO, Paul Larson.

“We’ve managed more than $85M to develop technology and deliver system-level solutions to our customers. The advancement and protection of our IP position remains a critical strategy for the company.”

Daylight Solutions indicated that the company is currently in discussion with several other industry leaders over the licensing of its mid-infrared technology.
