Meet innovations and ingenuity in national booth of Lithuanian photonics manufacturers

Date Announced: 06 May 2013

Lithuanian photonics manufacturers have doubled their sales in the last four years. In-house developed new products and technologies were main reasons for success. This year Lithuanian companies will be making all important new product announcements in one exhibition – Laser World of Photonics (Munich, Germany), in one united booth.
“Laser World of Photonics in Munich is the largest tradeshow for us to present our main products and new developments” – noted PhD. Irmantas Mikulskas, sales manager - Light conversion. – “In the year 2005 at the same show we introduced first commercial Yb:KGW femtosecond laser system. And now it will be fifth time for us to participate together with other Lithuanian companies in the national pavilion where we will exhibit our latest technologies”.
“As event is organized in accordance with congress, we are able to introduce our latest developments directly to the all scientific world” - noted Dr. Zenonas Kuprionis, commercial director at EKSPLA – “Our first picosecond laser has been introduced in this event more than 25 years ago. Since then, we are participating in every exhibition (Laser World of Photonics in Munich) and trying to introduce all our important news exactly during this event. This year is not exception - we are eager to introduce our brand new products: new line of ultrafast fiber lasers, 50 W output power industrial picosecond laser and high energy DPSS-only tunable wavelength laser”.
The new products being introduced include not only laser systems. Wide range of other products for emerging applications will be introduced – from components, R&D services to workstations.
As a latest product EKSMA OPTICS will present new BBO Pockels Cells capable to operate with high power lasers at repetition rates up to 1 MHz. EKSMA OPTICS BBO Pockels cells feature robust and compact design, high contrast ratio, low optical losses and unique dumping of piezo-electric resonanses.ELAS will be presenting a laser micro machining system MASTER Femto PS powered by femosecond Pharos laser. This feature-rich workstation employed three harmonics using galvo-scannerand special design focusing objective, which guarantees 2 µm spot size.
Optida will be introducing latest develompents in complex optical coatings for ultrafast and not only applications like: broadband mirrors, non-polarizing or broadband beam splitters, high contrast spectral separators, polarizer’s for one or few wavelengths simultaneously.
TERAVIL will be introducing a fiber coupled THz-TDS spectrometer. The system, developed together with EKSPLA is based on a 1 µm wavelength femtosecond fiber laser and GaBiAs photoconductive switches.
Workshop of Photonics® will be presenting its newest results on glass processing: tempered and non-tempered glass scribing with smooth cut surfaces,; sapphire scribing,; Through Glass Via (TGV) drilling.
