Gooch & Housego PLC (G&H) is pleased to announce the establishment of Gooch & Housego Japan KK. The office, managed by Masashi Wada and located in Nagoya, formally opens for business on 8th April.
Over the past 25 years G&H has successfully grown its business in Japan across various market sectors with the assistance of its distribution partners. In order to continue this growth, and as a demonstration of its commitment to this important market, G&H has decided to establish a formal presence in Japan. G&H will continue to work with its distribution partners in Japan with the local office offering enhanced support to grow new business.
The new G&H Japan office has been established with support and assistance of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organisation) and GNIC (Greater Nagoya Initiative Center), who have helped with financial and legal matters, and have provided a grant to support the setting up of G&H Japan KK. Masashi Wada joins G&H as the Japan Sales Director and has over 10 years’ experience in the optics sector; especially various crystal materials, laser controls and high-speed lithium niobate modulators for telecom applications.
