Raydiance Chief Scientist to Chair, Judge at Photonics West 2013

Raydiance Chief Scientist Dr. Michael Mielke will serve as Session Chair and Judge at Photonics West, the largest laser technology conference in North America.

Dr. Mielke will chair Session 5 of the Frontiers in Ultrafast Optic track: Ultrafast Laser Sources and Instrumentation on Monday, February 4, at 8:00 a.m. He will also judge the semifinals of the conference’s $10,000 Startup Challenge, where entrepreneurs in photonics have three minutes each to pitch their business ideas to technical and business leaders in the field.

“The frontier of ultrafast laser applications is full of opportunity,” Mielke said. “From new entrepreneurs to proven solutions like our at Raydiance, we’re focused on solving the world’s most challenging precision processing challenges.”

Photonics West will be held February 2-7 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. Some 20,000 attendees and 1500 exhibitors are expected.
