Axus Technology Adds Bob Roberts as Director of Business Development

New recruit will focus on developing new business opportunities for Axus Technology's process foundry operations.

Chandler, AZ -- January 8, 2013 - Axus Technology, a global supplier of CMP and wafer thinning technology, is pleased to announce the hiring of Bob Roberts as Director, Business Development.

Roberts has more than three decades of experience in the CMP, polishing, and wafer grinding fields, working with a number of new product introductions and process applications. Roberts will focus on developing new business opportunities for Axus Technology's process foundry operations, as well as managing several of Axus' new product introductions.

"Bob's extensive background with our key technologies, and his applications insights will help us better support our customers worldwide," said Barrie Van Devender, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Our products and applications efforts will be guided by both his long-term experience with traditional IC manufacturing, as well as in the growing MEMS, LED, and advanced packaging markets."

Prior to joining Axus Technology, Roberts served as the Executive Director of Advanced Technologies and the Director of the Asia-Pacific Region for Strasbaugh, where he managed sales and customer relations efforts for CMP, TSV, BSI, and advanced LED applications.

Roberts held various positions at KUKA Robotics, a German robot manufacturer and previous to that he was a regional Director of Sales for SpeedFam-IPEC. Mr. Roberts was also a co-founder of Solution Technology Incorporated, a supplier of specialized CMP polishing slurry supplier, which is currently a part of the Dow Chemical organization.
