Date Announced: 25 Aug 2010
Montana Instruments Corporation (Bozeman, MT), the world's leading manufacturer of automated optical cryostats, announces the release of its new Cryostation, a research platform with unparalleled optical access and stability that allows complete computer control of your sample temperature. The Cryostation™ achieves long and short term temperature stability of less than 10mK peak to peak, even at temperatures of 3 Kelvin. Peak to peak vibrations are less than 5nm. This is achieved with a patent pending design which maintains a typical base temperature of 2.8K and a typical active load cooling power of 0.1W at 4.2K even with optical access through all five windows. Temperature control is completely automated. Experimental setup and room temperature measurements in the Cryostation™ can be done with the sample area completely unobstructed.
