Direct diode laser firm hires former SPI, JDSU and Laserline employee to executive post.
BERLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DirectPhotonics Industries GmbH, a cutting edge provider of ultra-high brightness direct diode laser solutions for material processing, announced today it has named ULO Optics Inc., headed by Silke Pflueger, as their North American representative for the United States and Canada. Silke is responsible for selling DirectPhotonics’ diode laser solutions to the material processing industries and to the scientific market in the region.
Silke has a PhD in mechanical engineering from the RWTH Aachen. Her previous positions included Director of Marketing and Sales at Laserline Inc and at SPI Lasers, engineering and marketing positions at SDL and JDSU, and engineering positions at Fraunhofer ILT and Fraunhofer USA. Her expertise is in laser systems, material processing, and optical engineering.
