Ocean Thin Films Qualifies Veeco’s SPECTOR-HT IBD System for High Volume Production

Optics firm will be able to make filters more quickly thanks to higher throughput of recently lauunced Veeco kit.

PLAINVIEW, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 24, 2012-- Veeco Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: VECO) announced today that Ocean Thin Films, a leading precision optical coatings company, has recently qualified the SPECTOR-HT™ Ion Beam Deposition (IBD) System for high-volume production of optical filters to be used in a broad range of applications, including biophotonics, defense, display, aerospace and lighting.
