MEMSCAP Ships One Million Variable Optical Attenuator MEMS Chips

GRENOBLE, France & DURHAM, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MEMSCAP (Paris:MEMS), the leading provider of innovative solutions based on MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) technology, including optical components, today announces it has shipped more than 1 million Thermally Actuated Variable Optical Attenuator chips over the last years.

In 2011, MEMSCAP released multiple Variable Optical Attenuator dies using electrostatic actuation (ES VOA), operating under high or low voltage.
