Management team at semiconductor lithography light source supplier is reshuffled as era of EUV approaches.

OYAMA, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gigaphoton, Inc., a major lithography light source manufacturer, resolved at a special meeting of the Board of Directors on February 21, 2012, to appoint Hitoshi Tomaru as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2012.

Yuji Watanabe, the current President and CEO, will become Chairman of the Board of Directors. Hakaru Mizoguchi, director and CTO, will become Executive Vice President and CTO on April 1, 2012.

Since its foundation on August 1, 2000, Gigaphoton has worked to achieve the highest quality and reliability of its products, backed up by its global customer support system. As a result, the company has gained an approximately 50% share in the market of excimer laser light sources for semiconductor lithography and established a stabilized business base.

This new management team has been appointed taking this opportunity to further expand Gigaphoton's excimer laser business as well as to accelerate the marketing of next-generation EUV light sources.
