New Sales Director for North America Appointed by JK Lasers

As part of its global expansion plans, industrial laser manufacturer JK Lasers has appointed a new sales director for North America.

Andrew Dodd joined the company on 16 January. With 28 years’ experience in the industrial laser industry, he will be responsible for sales and technical support. Immediately prior to joining JK Lasers, which is part of the GSI Group, he ran the Mid-West sales operation for Miyachi.

Andrew said: “I am thrilled to be joining JK Lasers at this exciting time. The business is expanding and there are firm plans in place to build upon the excellent support already delivered by JK Lasers in the USA.”

As part of his role, Andrew will oversee the establishment of a dedicated sales and service facility in South East Michigan. The new site will incorporate specialist applications laboratories, enabling JK Lasers to demonstrate products and processes to customers.

JK Lasers’ products include a comprehensive range of Watt to kiloWatt fiber lasers, Nd:YAG lasers and process tools which are designed to operate around-the-clock in industrial environments.
