Burlington, MA, center builds on UK firm's presence in the US market.
Electrox has opened a new applications and demonstration center and made a senior appointment in the US reinforcing its commitment to its customer base and strengthening its market position in the country.
The company, which is a leading manufacturer of laser marking equipment, has opened its new applications and demonstration center in Burlington, Massachusetts and has appointed Owen Jones as regional manager for the north eastern region.
The modern facility comprises offices, conferencing facilities and the essence of Electrox’s operation; its application lab, where applications and product manager, Pat Schlather, processes and studies customers’ samples and requirements and develops the laser marking solutions that turn them into a reality. The facility is strategically located in the heart of one of Electrox’s strongest customer bases and is conveniently located for both prospect and customer visits, as well as travel to and from the rest of the US and abroad.
Owen Jones who has more than 30 years experience in the laser marking industry joins Electrox as regional manager for the north eastern region. In his new role Owen will be responsible for growing both new and existing markets in the North and East of America and Canada, as well as ensuring the product line and sales channels continue to develop in line with customer needs.
Speaking about the opening of the new applications and demonstration center and Owen’s appointment, Paul Mincher, general manager of Electrox, said: “We are looking to reinforce and grow our presence in the US and a dedicated base will help us to achieve this. Added to this, Owen brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge that will help to drive our business forward in the US and realise our goals.
Owen added: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Electrox; it has an extremely strong product portfolio that brings real benefits to customers in terms of marking quality, speed, efficiency and cost savings and the opening of a new applications and demonstration center really reinforces its commitment to the US market.
“I will now be working with the sales team to establish protocols that will streamline our operation so that we can grow the company’s market share.”
Electrox has also unveiled its new website which has been developed in response to customer feedback. The new site provides easier access to product information, is easy to navigate around and features a dedicated news section where customers can find out about all the latest product applications.
“The new website is much quicker and easier to use,” explained Paul. “We’ve reacted to our customers and provided them with a platform that meets their needs.”
Electrox was founded 30 years ago and is part of the world-renowned 600 Group PLC. The company manufactures a wide variety of fully-integrated laser marking solutions, which use an intense beam of light to permanently engrave or mark a material’s surface. Its systems are fast, extremely easy to use and very cost effective, because there are no components to wear or run out.
