Lutronic Corp Reports Record Q2 Results. Establishes US R&D Center

Date Announced: 14 Aug 2010

Aesthetic biomedicalaser company is continuing to invest significantly in its expansion plans in the US.

Lutronic Corp (KOSDAQ) commenced the month by announcing second-quarter financial results for the three month period, ending June 30, 2010.

Revenues for the second quarter of 2010 improved to $11.5 million as compared to $10 million, at a comparable exchange rate, for Q2 of 2009, reflecting an increase of 15%. Profit exceeded 30% above that of 2009 Q2.

According to Haelyung Hwang, CEO of Lutronic Corp, "In an era when many of the aesthetic device manufacturers are struggling, Lutronic has experienced remarkable growth in the world-wide acceptance of our best-in-class products. The 1444nm AccuSculpt(TM) device is becoming the standard for laser assisted facial contouring, better known as the AccuLift(TM) procedure. We continue to be the dominant leader in q-switched Nd: YAG devices with Spectra sales remaining strong. Our fractional devices MOSAIC(TM) and eCO2(TM) continue to perform well."

CEO of Lutronic's North American operations, Tysun Ihm, noted the company is continuing to invest significantly in its expansion plans in the U.S. Most recently, Lutronic established an Advanced R & D Center in Fremont, California, a multi- million dollar operation, in anticipation of manufacturing in the U.S. in 2011. According to Mr. Ihm, "the Company has recruited some of the best and brightest engineers in the industry to ensure that Lutronic stays on the cutting edge in technology." "This advanced R&D center represents our continued commitment to the U.S. market where we see significant, long-term opportunities," noted Mr. Ihm.
