ProPhotonix Limited Announces Appointment of Howard Longin as Director of Sales -- Americas

SALEM, N.H., Sept. 28, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ProPhotonix Limited (LSE:PPIX.L - News) (LSE:PPIR.L - News) (Pink Sheets:STKR), a designer and manufacturer of LED light engines and laser diode modules as well as a distributor of premium vendors' laser diodes, announces today the appointment of Howard Longin as its Director of Sales -- Americas.

Howard brings more than twenty years' experience in Sales and Marketing management in the electronic components industry, most recently as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Hosonic Electronics, a global manufacturer of frequency control devices headquartered in China. At Hosonic Electronics he was instrumental in developing a global distributor network, substantially growing the company's business in North America.

Howard joins David McGuinness, the Director of Sales -- Europe/Middle-east/Africa, in providing ProPhotonix with experienced sales leadership to accelerate revenue growth.
