Picolas adds diode lasers to existing laser driver offering.
In June 2010 PicoLAS GmbH formed a cooperation agreement with Xi'an Focuslight Technologies Co., Ltd. This agreement raises the bar for laser technologies in the European Market: First in the market to offer a complete solution, PicoLAS GmbH will now distribute high quality diode lasers from Xi'an Focuslight Technologies Co. along side its proven line of diode lasers drivers.
For customers this means not only a simplification in purchasing, it also means new offers of cheaper and higher efficient solutions, at a smaller construction volume.
Focuslight:
Xi'an Focuslight Technologies Co., Ltd. (focuslight.com.cn) is engaged in research and development, manufacturing, and sales of high power and high reliability semiconductor lasers. Focuslight was established in 2007 in Xi'an, China, and is the biggest producer of high quality diode lasers nationwide. Currently there are 130 working employees in a 2100 m² office and clean room environment. Recent annual production capacities reach over 100,000 semiconductor lasers.
PicoLAS:
PicoLAS GmbH (picolas.de), headquartered in Herzogenrath, Germany, is specialized in the development and manufacturing of drivers for diode lasers. PicoLAS's diode laser drivers are compact, efficient, and have achieved a market prominence: They provide extreme short currents and high performance for use with applications of semiconductor lasers. As OEM current sources, they offer the first pulse durations of less then one nanosecond (<1ns). PicoLAS GmbH was established in 2005 in Aachen, Germany and was founded by Dr. Markus Bartram.
