Volvo's EX90 - the firm's new flagship electric vehicle - as seen when it was unveiled back in 2022. Luminar's lidar is a standard feature for the model, and can be seen in this image, housed above the center of the windshield. The car's full production launch had been slated for late 2023, but that was pushed back to mid-2024, reportedly because of the sheer complexity of software coding associated with the lidar element. Once production does kick in, it should provide a major boost to Luminar's sales revenues. Photo: Volvo Cars. |
