| TeraXion's tiny distributed feedback (DFB) laser diode features both a high linearity and a very long coherence length, making it suited to applications in FMCW lidar. The advanced but complex optical designs required for FMCW deployment inside future self-driving vehicles are one target area for Indie Semiconductor, which is set to acquire TeraXion by the end of the year.
