| The "FLARE" mirror system devised by Halma subsidiary Labsphere and partner Raytheon is intended to improve the optical calibration of Earth-facing imagers and sensors on board drones and satellites. The approach promises to yield more accurate information on remote sensing of algal blooms and vegetation - where subtle differences in color imaging can lead to different interpretations of collected data.
