PCO-TECH Inc. was founded in 1986 as The COOKE Corporation, a manufacturing, sales and marketing organization offering photonic instrumentation and complete systems throughout the world. PCO-TECH specializes in the areas of High Speed Imaging and Lighting Systems, High Performance CCD and CMOS Imaging Systems, Optical Non-Contact Measuring and Monitoring Instrumentation, and NIST Traceable Light Measurement Instrumentation and Services.  It was originally created to bridge-the-gap between manufacturers of state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation and end-users, and later pursued technological innovations aimed at offering complete photonic solutions, problem solving and technology capabilities for the market areas of university and industrial research, automotive, military and biomedical.

Corporate activities include, manufacturing of proprietary products including the PALFLASH line of very high illuminance light sources for high-speed image recording and analysis; system integration of manufactured photonic products and systems; exclusive strategic marketing alliances with local and foreign manufacturers, providing specialized sales and marketing; and technical services for most photonic products, including engineering design studies, prototyping, repairs, calibrations and service contracts.
