Kigre manufactures miniature "eye-safe" 1.54µm erbium glass laser transmitters. Kigre also manufactures specialty laser and filter glass materials optimized for use in microchip, microplate, fiber, waveguide and disk laser/amplifier applications. Kigre standard and special laser glass materials may be doped with rare-earth elements such as Erbium, Ytterbium, Samarium, Neodymium, Holmium, Thulium, Dysprosium, Europium and Praseodymium.
Kigre has developed a family of High Efficiency Side Pump (HESP) Diode Pumped Solid State (DPSS) lasers. HESP DPSS lasers have the ability to produce high power laser devices lighter, smaller, more efficient and less expensive. The performance is due in large part to the invention of a new generation of athermal high-gain laser glass materials and innovative conduction cooled packages that portend long diode lifetimes at high power levels with minimal thermal conditioning requirements.
Samarium and Cerium glass laser cavity filter plate and flow tubes are made to order to customer supplied drawings and specifications. Kigre manufactures specialty infrared transmitting glasses, Terbium doped Faraday glasses and customized active and passive electro-optic materials in variety of sizes, shapes and architectures.
